The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite system, global coverage, ad mini stereo by the U.S. Department of Defence, which allows a user to ascertain his location and altitude above sea level.
The operative principle is based on a method of positioning ball, which i sto measure the time it takes a radio signal to travel the distance satellite-receiver.
The system is supported by a complex of 24 artificial satellites and in general it is necessary to receive the signal of at least four of them to obtain a precise positioning, with a margin of error of 4-5 meters, and its altitude.
Using the GPS receiver we have the following information:
- Coordinates of the point where we are
- Elevation
- Distance travelled
- Tracking to download via PC techniques cards
- Distance and direction to reach a certain point (after loading the data into the receiver)
The routes tracks are available below and can be downloaded by users on your GPS device to be driver on the way.
